Evergreen Online Limited (EOL): A Legacy from 2004–2016
Evergreen Online Limited (EOL) was one of the leading local ISPs in Uttara from 2004 to 2016, well-known for its reliable services, dedicated bandwidth solutions, and continuous technological innovation.
Pioneering Contributions of EOL
EOL introduced several advanced technologies to the Uttara ISP market, many of which were the first of their kind at that time:
- Introduced Concentrator technology during the early DSL modem era
- First to deploy Fiber Optic Cable in Uttara during the transition to fiber networks
- Obtained and provided real IP addresses leased from APNIC
- Launched 1Gbps P2P connectivity for customers for the first time in Uttara
- Acquired its own Fujikura Splicing Machine in 2005 for high-quality fiber deployment
- Introduced pickup service in 2010, a first among local ISPs in the area
- Brought the first MikroTik server and Cisco switches to the Uttara ISP ecosystem
Through consistent innovation, professional technical support, and modern infrastructure, EOL became a trusted and leading name among Uttara’s internet service providers.
End of Operations
In 2016, following the passing of the founder and chairman of the Evergreen Group,
Bir Muktijoddha (Freedom Fighter) Professor Dr. Abul Hossain Sikder,
EOL’s key operator and system administrator, Mr. Nahid Mahmud Hossain Litu, relocated permanently to his village. Due to personal reasons, EOL gradually ceased its operations.
